Or: The Saga That’s Played Out Over the Last Five Years
for Most of Us in the Online Space

If you’ve been in the world of online coaching & consulting for a bit, you might have noticed that it’s not all a bed of roses.

The online coaching space has a big problem: high competition, low integrity.

This goes much deeper than unregulated entry into the field…

In a space where anyone can label themselves a coach, a massive influx of “influencer coaches” have (intentionally or not) exploited people’s vulnerabilities and desires… and ravaged their bank accounts.

For most, certification doesn’t offer a solution – it’s a system that trains coaches to follow the same (generic) scripts and frameworks, rather than develop unique, adaptable, evidence-based methods of their own.

The result? A saturated field of unskilled, undifferentiated coaches has led to deep distrust among prospective clients, making it ever more difficult for earnest, skillful coaches to succeed in the market.

Losing Big Money to Bogus Programs

Over the last decade, I’ve witnessed – and experienced – the personal, professional, and financial harm caused by charlatan coaches and certification programs that promise the moon and deliver “meh”…

or go out of business and take coaches’ hard-earned credentials with them.

In 2022, I hit my breaking point. Good friends of mine lost upwards of $50,000 each to a certification program that promised vast returns, rock-solid credibility, and a sustainable, scalable model… and delivered none of the above.

The program (and the coach leading it) fell apart halfway through and their “investment” was just money down the drain.

Self-Certified™ Was Born

I knew then what I always felt to be true… the REAL path to credibility lies in a coach’s capacity for mastery and self-leadership – not a piece of paper, letters after their name, or a badge on their website.

So, I set out to create a solution: a process that empowers coaches to develop and refine their own methodologies based on their unique combination of skills, talent, and expertise.
