Is enough really enough?

‘Tis the Season for… STUFF.

You may not want it. (That’s totally valid.) But are you asking for what you really want?

(Do you know what it is you really, truly want? Have you been afraid to find out?)

The holidays are just a short few weeks at the end of the year, where the giving and receiving of stuff is particularly intense. But, when you really think about it, we are being “gifted” with opportunities, challenges, money, bills, experiences, and yes, STUFF, all year round; and in fact, all the time.

(After all, the universe is abundant and constantly expanding.)

Here’s the thing – and here’s why the holidays are the perfect opportunity to practice something new, and change our paradigm, our way of being, for the new year…

How we choose to respond to what we DON’T want says everything about our capacity to receive what we DO want. It’s that simple.

Time, Money, Boiling Frogs

If your 2018 plans include major change (like finally doing what you’re MEANT to be doing in this lifetime), here’s what you might want to know…

  • Change doesn’t take any time at all. In fact, it happens the moment you decide. So, decide. 😉
  • It’s going to be uncomfortable not matter what. In fact, willingness to be uncomfortable is a requirement for change.
  • What’s it going to take to fund your dream… More time? The right time? More money? Enough money? Where it is, how to find it, and what it’s REALLY going to take get it. (Hint: decide to get uncomfortable.)

Living in Stillness, Equanimity, Intuition

How would your life change if nothing ever bothered you; if your peace remained forever undisturbed?

This is not only possible, it’s the promise of the energy of Water.

The energy of water is embodied by the Provider Archetypes: The Helper, The Confidante, and The Curator.

In this video, you’ll learn…

  • Why “boundaries” might not be what you really want or need.
  • Why winter is absolutely the wrong time to go after those New Year’s resolutions.
  • Why shutting down our intuition is a refusal of our own inner peace.
  • Why inner peace actually allows for outer rage, when rage is the appropriate response.
  • And how LIVING from stillness, fully embracing our intuition (and letting it be front and center) is the only way we’re going to able to meet the challenges of our time and create the world we want to live in.

Waking Up, Waking Down :: I Surrender

A brief history of my Big Leap into what’s next

(Originally published May, 2017)

I have been, as I know many others have (maybe including you!) struggling with the divisiveness in our country, and around the world. And I’ve been wondering what I can actually do to make any real difference at all; and in particular, something that’s NOT about taking sides, but instead about bringing people back together.

Because isn’t that, when it really comes down to it, the real, fundamental issue here? The blame and the hate – the misunderstanding and the seeming refusal to TRY anymore?

This has weighed heavily on me – very, very heavily.

Now, rewind a bit further to back in late September…

Why The Spark Archetypes matter NOW…

When I created the Wise Woman Archetype™ model a couple years ago, I had a particular purpose in mind:

I wanted to show women that they really didn’t have to follow The Formula (whatever formula they’d be taught, or “sure-fire plan du jour” they found on the interwebs) and that they really (no, really, truly!) could build a business in full alignment with their values.

Something I still fully believe in!

The Wise Woman Archetypes were awesome; they were loved and they were helpful and they were of service.

There was something more there, waiting patiently to emerge.

That “something more” was big enough that I knew the Archetypes weren’t quite ready for the spotlight. And so they remained the beloved little secret of a relative few.

It was also subtle enough that it took two years and some serious soul-searching, and soul-bearing conversations, to uncover.

Here’s how I did it, and why it really matters…

I can’t teach you anything

Then said a teacher, “Speak to us of Teaching.”
And he said:
No man can reveal to you aught but that which already lies half asleep in the dawning of your knowledge.
The teacher who walks in the shadow of the temple, among his followers, gives not of his wisdom but rather of his faith and his lovingness.
If he is indeed wise he does not bid you enter the house of wisdom, but rather leads you to the threshold of your own mind…

– Kahlil Gibran, The Prophet

(It goes on from there but you get the gist.)

As a modern Wise Woman, I might switch out some pronouns and add “and heart” to that last sentence: “… but rather leads you to the threshold of you own mind and heart.” Other than that, I’d say Kahlil’s right on.

Here’s what’s true, without a shadow of a doubt: I can’t teach you anything.

The only thing I can do is to give you vast, open space and a reflective surface. (I like water imagery for that part. Let’s go with a still, deep, pristine lake.) Surrounded by love, and profound faith that everything’s okay.
